Become a Detective

Rule 3: Details matter

3a. A detective never knows which seemingly insignificant fact will solve the case.

3b. Keep a note of everything and take a mental snapshot of the situation. It helps to visualise clues and to cut through to the truth.

3c. Sometimes when you can’t find a pattern it’s because there is more than one. The simplest answer is not always the right one, so bear in mind that there might be more than one case to be solved and look at all the details with new eyes.
